Added and changed articles within the scope of the "Regulation Amending the Zero Waste
Regulation" published in the Official Gazette dated 09 October 2021 and numbered 31623; are as follows.
The following definitions such as Agency, Mobile Waste Retrieval Center and Sales Point have been added to Article 4 of the Regulation. Agency: Turkish Environment Agency,
Mobile waste collection center: The waste collection vehicles used in connection with the waste collection point and/or the waste collection center where more than one collection equipment is
located in order to separately collect different types of wastes,
Point of sale: These are the places defined in subparagraph (y) of the first paragraph of Article 4 of the Packaging Waste Control Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 26/6/2021 and numbered 31523 In general, in Article 5 of the Regulation; Separating the generated wastes at the source in accordance with the conditions specified in the annex of the regulation, accumulating with at least a binary system without mixing and storing them temporarily,
Processing the wastes collected within the scope of the zero waste management system in waste processing facilities that have received a temporary activity certificate/environmental license from the Ministry, Collection of waste medicines originating from households at places where medicines are sold and at other collection points and waste collection centers determined as collection points in the Provincial Zero Waste Management System Plan, Waste drug collection equipment is provided by drug sales and collection points,
It has been stated that the management of waste drugs originating from households is provided by local administrations.
When Will Zero Waste Notification Be Made?
Within the scope of the zero waste management system, monthly information regarding the collected waste must be reported through the zero waste information system until the fifteenth of the following month, the data controls of the previous year's information must be completed until the end of March each year, and the information and documents that are the basis for notification must be preserved.
Buildings and campuses are required to establish a zero waste management system and obtain a zero waste certificate in line with the implementation calendar in ANNEX-1.
