With the “Law on Amending the Environmental Law”, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has gathered the inspection and sanction practice on the environment within itself.

Inspections on the environment are carried out by the Ministry's headquarters and Provincial Directorates of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

In 2021, a total of 289 immediate and planned environmental inspections and EIA Monitoring and Control Studies were carried out by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change central organization, a total of 56,733 and a general total of 57,022 by the Provincial Directorates of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
